Point Blank Period
Founded in 2020 amidst the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, Point Blank Period is dedicated to eliminating period poverty by enhancing access to menstrual products for individuals in need. Rooted in the fundamental belief that those who experience menstruation should never face barriers to obtaining period products, the organization emerged during a time when women were grappling with product shortages. Despite these difficult circumstances, Point Blank Period persevered and made over 700 period packs to distribute to women's shelters and centers across North Carolina.
Women in Public Policy
Women in Public Policy (WIPP) was founded in 2023 at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. WIPP aspires to foster an empowering and vibrant community for women and gender non-conforming students who are passionate about public policy. At WIPP, we strive to equip our members with the knowledge, resources, and connections necessary to drive impactful and lasting transformations in the policy field. In just a semester, WIPP gained close to 100 members and hosted various workshops, socials, and events with professionals such as Ambassador Barbara Stephenson
Girls Go Government!
Girls Go Government! is a movement dedicated to narrowing the gender gap in political involvement by empowering young girls to explore careers in government and fostering their active participation in civic life. Our mission is to inspire and educate young girls about government operations and careers, spanning from local to state levels. Through engaging workshops, seminars, and mentorship programs, Girls Go Government! creates a supportive environment where girls can explore their interests in politics, policy, public service, and leadership.
